feeding the homeless
hey!
sorry its been so long since i have written. i have been pretty busy.
i have had a lot of softball games lately. it sucks cuz every game is going to be a double header. so it really does suck. we lose every game because our team is really bad. but its fun anyway.
today i went tanning in a tanning bed for the first time! it was so much fun. the place i go to is $20 a month for unlimited tanning. but i am going to go every other day so i don't over do it.
i went to OKC with my church yesterday. we went to another church and made soup and 240 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. then we bagged them up and we made some lemonade and tea and coffee. then we went and fed homeless people. me and kristen gave them clothes. it was so sad. it was cold outside and there were little kids without socks on and with out any coats. so we gave them some. it was sad. when i got home i cried because it was so sad. this one guy....he needed some shoes and we found some that fit him and he was litterally jumping for joy. he said, "thank you so much! god bless you!" it made me feel very good. there was also this little boy, he was so cute and he was very cold and he came up to me and asked me if i had a coat for him. so i gave him one. most people wanted socks. so the socks went the quickest. i saw this one guy smoking pot. it was sad. the preacher at the church that gives the food every week said that we would see some people that are on stuff like crack and weed. we could not wear any jewelry because it could get stolen. the church does it every monday night at about 6:00 or 6:30. i want to do it again cuz it was lots of fun. it made me feel very grateful for what i have. we may not have a lot, but at least i have food to eat and a bed to sleep on and clothes to wear.
i don't know what else to say so i guess i'll go! bye!!
